Turkey Trot Save the Date

Save the Date!! New Fundraiser for this year.

For the past 2 years the Snoqualmie Ridge Turkey Trot has benefited CVES and SES PTAs.  This year NBE will be included in this event.

The 3rd Annual Snoqualmie Ridge Turkey Trot 5k and Kids 1k held at Cascade View Elementary will be on  Saturday, November 13, 2009. The races start and finish at CVES.


The race beneficiaries are the PTSAs of Cascade View, North Bend or Snoqualmie Elementary Schools. Each runner gets to designate which school his or her pre-registration dollars go to.

The Kid's 1k race is just $10 and includes a free long-sleeved t-shirt, a finisher's medal and free entry into the pancake feed. ONLY PRE-REGISTERED RUNNERS ARE GUARANTEED A T-SHIRT. The 5k race is $25 and also includes a free short-sleeved tech shirt, and free entry into the pancake feed. ONLY PRE-REGISTERED RUNNERS ARE GUARANTEED A T-SHIRT.

CVES will be open to runners beginning at 7:30am serving as a great place to stay warm and dry in the...ahem...unlikely event of inclimate weather.

This year the PTA has come up with so many ways that you can help to fund school events.

Walk-a-thon: Thursday, October 7, 2010
The Walk-a-thon is our main fundraiser for the year and supports Teacher/classroom grants, Academic Enrichment, R.I.S.E classes, Student field Trips, Art Enrichment, Assemblies, Emergency Preparedness comfort items, Lunch Programs, Carnivals, Bingo and more!!

Community Sponsored Fundraising
Many of the fundraising opportunities below involve “no effort fundraising”—a way to earn revenue for NBE by making regular household purchases at participating retailers.

Are you an amazon.com shopper?  If you access amazon.com through the NBE website (www.nbepta.com), 4%-7% of your purchase will be donated to NBE.  You don’t need to enter any additional information for your order, Amazon will automatically credit us.

Everyone can participate in this!  Throughout the year save your Boxtops for  Education coupons and Label for Education UPC’s off of packages to earn money for NBE.

Safeway contributes a percentage of their grocery loyalty cards to NBE.  At Safeway, you must SWIPE your card for each transaction.  Further information can be found at www.escrip.com.  Sign up yourself and your family members (who do not need to live in the Snoqualmie valley to participate) today.  If you have been participating at another school be sure to change your card to NBE.

A form of “no-effort fundraising” for NBE producing revenue for NBE on regular purchases you would make anyway.  Buy your QFC or Fred Meyer from the PTA, 5% of the card value will go to NBE.

Do you work at Microsoft?  Microsoft matches your donations made to NBE PTA.  Microsoft matches if it’s of time as well as money.  When employees give time at NBE, Microsoft will donate $17 per hour.  Check with Microsoft to sign up.
