Original Works is an art program that allows parents to purchase items with their students artwork printed on them. The artwork is created during school hours and the order forms are sent home to parents.

Meets just as school starts to plan our biggest fundraiser of the year. Responsible for setting up and organizing: music, decorations, games during the event, treats after the Walk-a-Thon, the pep rally and cheers, the ordering of T-shirts, sponsors, advertising, money collection envelopes, and tracking donated funds. The monies are used to support our budget which includes assemblies, Patriot Program, Family Reading Project, STEM Night, and more.

The volunteer for this program sends out monthly reading logs to students to track reading times. Comes in monthly to collect the logs and distributes Pizza Hut coupons for students who complete reading that month. Might think about Texas Roadhouse instead of Pizza Hut this year?

Each fall through winter, the MD PTA has a theme each year for students to creatively interpret through dance, art, photography or writing. This committee is responsible for advertising the event, and organizing people to judge entries.

The North Bend Elementary PTA sponsors our school Patriot Program. Students are asked complete their specific grade level program requirements. Students who participate are honored at a Patriot Assembly in the spring and receive ribbons and certificates of completion. 5th grade students who participate in the program during their 4th and 5th grade years are invited on a field trip to celebrate their accomplishment.

Organizes a book fair in the fall and the spring. Sets up, decorates and takes down the event, creates flyers. The largest task is obtaining and organizing volunteers to run the cash register and assist students with their purchases.
